New Defense Minister Talat Xhaferi held separate meetings Wednesday with US Ambassador to the country Paul Wohlers and the Chief of NATO Liaison Office in Skopje, Colonel Aleksandar Aleksandrov.

Xhaferi and Wohlers shared opinions on Macedonia-US cooperation and possibilities for its further development in terms of reforms in the Macedonian Army (ARM) and the Ministry of Defense (MoD). They also reaffirmed the strategic partnership between the two countries, MoD said in a press release.

Xhaferi and Aleksandrov expressed readiness for resuming the close cooperation between MoD and NATO Liaison Office in Skopje.
