Boosting of Macedonian-Russian agricultural cooperation in favor of both countries - Minister

There is a ground for Macedonia to expect further boosting of the cooperation with Russia in the agricultural sphere, Minister Ljupco Dimoski says in an interview with the ITAR-TASS News Agency ahead of his visit to Moscow in mid-February.

The possibilities for bolstering the cooperation will be a subject of discussion with Russian Minister of Agriculture Yelena Skrynnik, he says.

Macedonian farmers do not only wish to present their products in Russia, but also to attract Russian companies to Macedonia, Dimoski says.

Accompanied by a business delegation, Macedonia's Minister of Agriculture Dimoski, will attend PRODEXPO fair in Moscow - the largest annual specialized exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe. Macedonia will present its best wines at the event.

The Ministry of Agriculture fully supports the initiative of domestic businessmen for opening of distribution centers for Macedonian fruits and vegetables in Russia and vice-versa, Dimoski says.

He hails Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization, saying that it will contribute to further development of Macedonia's overall economic cooperation with this country.
