Today, in Vienna, the President of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, had a meeting with The Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, Sebastian Kurz. Emphasizing that every visit to the Republic of Austria is a pleasure, Prime Minister Zaev expressed personal gratitude to Chancellor Kurz, but also to the Government of the Republic of Austria for everything they have done for the Republic of North Macedonia and the whole Western Balkan region. “Now, since the Prespa Agreement implementation has begun, we are fully focused on the implementation of the reforms at home. The Agreement we achieved has had a positive impact over the whole region. With the Agreement we managed to demonstrate that with partnership and dialogue we can achieve a lot”, said Prime Minister Zaev at the meeting with Chancellor Kurz. At the meeting, Prime Minister Zaev pointed out that the membership of the Republic of North Macedonia in the European Union is the only choice. “After the historic Agreement between our country and Greece, it is time to dedicate to the economic matters in our country”, said Prime Minister Zaev and added that this year all efforts will be focused on speeding up the economic growth. This meeting, as the Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, Sebastian Kurz pointed out, once again demonstrates and proves the friendship between the two countries. After the success with solving the dispute with Greece, the Republic of Austria hopes that this year, the Republic of North Macedonia will start the negotiations with the European Union, and in that process, Austria will continue to provide the necessary support for North Macedonia, said Chancellor Kurz.
